My wife and I had a great time today on the Hunter Valley tour. Our guide, Rafael was terrific - lots of personality, entertaining and knowledgeable. Most enjoyable.

Our guide Flinders was so funny, had some great commentary, stories and jokes. the selection of wineries was great, and the visit to the organic vodka distillery was a highlight! i would definitely recommend this day trip to anyone, offering pickups from the Hunter valley was a huge bonus as we were spending the weekend and didn't need to go back to Sydney. thanks Zepher tours!

This was our 1st wine tour! Our driver John was warm cheerful and welcoming along with the group of people we meet... great experience.

Definitely NOT for those with a real interest in wine and viticulture. Nothing is explained of the process, no tour of the production facilities, plantations, etc. Mostly sweet, easy-to-drink, easy-to-agree-with wines, and shops to buy produce. The food was terrible. And the driver sported a driving style that I don't know how to describe ("maniac" comes to mind) which made me carsick.

Only disappointing part: For the extra $30 option, I didn't think it was worth what we got for the 2-course meal. (The chicken wasn't filling and I am nowhere near plus-sized). I asked for more olive oil with another group that had the same option- it never came ....I am not sure if it was a racist thing because they were Asians too ( if they assumed we were family) .... But sharing the same tiny plate of butter and olive oil between four people didn't seem practical. The website states the upgrade includes 2 drinks (per person), but the waitress told us the meal only comes with 1 drink. I was quite disappointed about this too.

Zepher Tours took great care of us on this trip and we would highly recommend you join Zepher Tour for a fun, relaxing, casual day out with friends or family. It is the perfect way to enjoy the Hunter Valley without having the hassle of trying to avoid police while you are driving under the influence of alcohol (haha! we are not encouraging this at all!). Seriously, it is a stress free and hassle free day full of great wine and great company. If you are expecting a guided tour with history lessons etc, this is not the tour for you. Rafael prefers to tell you the information you need to know, the information that is interesting and forms part of the wine experience. We actually enjoyed this much more as it was very chilled and laid back.

Excellent tour! Really great visit to a bunch of wineries, and a distillery. Lunch was at Hope Vineyard (mmmm delicious pizza!) and lots of booze to taste. Fun, informative... would do it again for sure!
