It's a social style of rock climbing where climbers don't use ropes or harnesses, but scale shorter walls and are protected by a thick, padded floor. There is no equipment required to start bouldering, making it a fast and easy way to build strength and have fun!

There are climbs for all levels of fitness, ranging from suuuper easy to competition level, meaning everyone can do it! Bookings aren’t required unless your group size is greater 10. If your group is larger than 10 people, call the front office beforehand to let them know.

Nice and spacious so you don't have to wait too long to climb. They offer student discounts! Offers Moisturising cream for your hands too. Not too far from the station.

Good for beginners and intermediate skill levels, but can be crowded at times. Make sure you ask for help starting out so you don't get hurt.

Aaron Raikes

What a fun way to burn a few calories, my first climb I was worried, the second I was taking more chances a d by the third I was comfortable enough to leap to the next peg if I needed to. So fun!! It should also be mentioned they are dog friendly and serve nice coffee.

Been going here for months. Love this place. The culture and community welcomes all

Tom Murphy

The perfect spot for a climb. Whether you're new to the sport or have years of experience, there's something for everyone. Plus, there's a slackline!

Helen Man

The place has a welcoming and open atmosphere with a really friendly and helpful climbing community. Staff are always super friendly, and the different colour levels change over periodically. Don't even bother bringing your own water, they provide paper cups, pens and a tap. Just mark your name on the cup, help yourself to the water and pop your cup on the bench like everyone else. Side note - they use that hipster recycled toilet paper, nice! 😄

Katie Taylor

Large number of routes to climb of varying difficulty, which was great. Service was quick, and lots of good merchandise in the shop. There is only 1 ladies toilet, which can be a bit difficult, but at least it's a nice one. Parking can be difficult, so take public transport if you can.

Jamie Walles

Great little place with friendly staff. There's a good vibe with everyone so helpful for beginners. They change at least one difficulty level once a week, which keeps it interesting and challenging. Would highly recommend it for a good workout

Much larger than my regular boulder place. Had a great time here. Some very fun climbs.

I appreciate the well planned routes. Many other gyms have Bouldering walls that look like all the leftover holds were randomly thrown onto them. You can tell 9 degrees has route setters who are diligent as well as passionate.

Erica Hu

It's a nice, fun place to boulder and is suitable for all skill levels. It gets quite crowded though, especially in the afternoons when people finish work, and you have to wait at every wall. The facilities are well maintained, but it is a little pricey, even for students ($20).

Can't recommend this place enough. The climbs are awesome, with difficulty levels that everyone can grasp (pun intended). All the staff are very welcoming and friendly, and the coffee by Sample roasters is spot on every time.
